Frat Magic, Written and directed by MJ Fernandez.

In just six minutes, Frat Magic takes the audience on a playful journey from dull reality into pure fantasy. It begins with a fraternity party so lifeless that the guests look more interested in their books than in each other. Then everything changes with the pop of a mysterious purple antique beer bottle. A sparkling white, purple, and pink foam bursts out, and the magic begins.

The arrival of Chad, a larger than life genie with a cheerful, slightly tipsy personality, transforms the scene. With booming energy, he challenges the students to liven up, refills their glasses, and sets the music free. What follows is a wild celebration, a whirlwind of sound and color where the animation style perfectly reflects the chaos and joy of the moment. Fernandez and her team deliver visuals that are both beautiful and vibrant, elevating the story with an energy that keeps viewers engaged and smiling.
The spirit of the film shines through in its ending. Chad’s words, “Imagine parties every single day!”, leave the audience with a playful thought: what would life be like with no stress, no drama, only joy and celebration. It is this lighthearted message, wrapped in color and creativity, that makes Frat Magic such an enjoyable and uplifting experience.

What makes Frat Magic stand out is the spirit behind it. Created as a student project at UDIT, the film radiates creativity, humor, and the sheer joy of making something fun. It does not try to be overly serious, but instead celebrates imagination, friendship, and freedom. Watching it, you can sense how much the filmmakers enjoyed bringing their ideas to life. That energy is contagious, and it leaves the audience with a smile, almost wishing the magic could spill over into real life.
And as Dylan and Logan put it with a smile: “El que no apoya, no folla!” (“No cheers, no fun!”).
